Content guidelines

1. Eligible vehicle listings

Vehicle listings must be for battery-electric, plug-in hybrid, hybrid or fuel-cell vehicles permitted by the Site. All EV Sales may define or change eligible vehicle categories from time to time. Unrelated goods or services must not be posted as vehicle listings.

2. Be accurate and not misleading

• Describe the vehicle’s actual condition, year, odometer, specifications and price accurately.
• Disclose material facts a buyer would reasonably expect to know, including known significant damage, write-off or salvage history, finance owing, import status, material faults and battery condition where known and relevant.
• For a used vehicle, photographs should fairly depict the vehicle offered. Do not edit images to conceal material damage or defects.
• Do not make false or misleading claims about range, battery condition, warranty, ownership, service history, charging capability or other material characteristics.

3. Pricing

State a genuine asking price in the currency applicable to the vehicle’s location. Do not use bait, placeholder or misleading pricing. Dealers must comply with all drive-away pricing, fee, tax and disclosure requirements applying in the jurisdiction where they advertise or sell.

4. Genuine availability

Do not post duplicate, fake or placeholder listings or advertise a vehicle that is not genuinely available. Update or remove a listing promptly when the vehicle is sold, withdrawn or materially changes.

5. Prohibited content

You must not post or send content that:

• offers a stolen vehicle or a vehicle you are not authorised to sell;
• is fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, obscene or otherwise unlawful;
• contains another person’s unnecessary personal information or sensitive information without authority;
• infringes copyright, trade mark, privacy or other rights;
• contains spam, phishing, malware, unrelated commercial solicitation or scam links;
• seeks payment through suspicious or deceptive methods or provides fraudulent payment instructions; or
• otherwise breaches our Terms or applicable law.

6. Respectful communications

Harassment, threats, abuse, personal attacks and discriminatory conduct are not permitted. Genuine criticism of a vehicle, dealer, product or service must remain lawful and based on a genuine experience or reasonable factual basis.

7. Reviews and ratings

• A review must be based on your own genuine experience.
• Do not review your own business or submit a review on another person’s behalf in a misleading way.
• Do not manipulate reviews through fake accounts, undisclosed conflicts or improper incentives.
• A negative review will not be removed merely because it is negative. We may remove or restrict a review that breaches these Guidelines, our Terms or applicable law.

8. Privacy and safety

Do not publish passwords, banking credentials, government identity numbers or unnecessary home-address information. Use appropriate care when meeting another user, inspecting a vehicle or arranging payment. The safety checks in our Terms are a starting point and do not replace your own judgement or professional advice.

9. Moderation

We may review content before or after publication using authorised staff and automated tools. We may correct formatting, restrict visibility, reject or remove content, or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to enforce our Terms, protect users or comply with law. We do not undertake to review every item of content.

10. Reporting

To report content that may breach these Guidelines or the law, email askus@allevsales.com with “Content report” in the subject line and include the relevant page or account details. Intellectual-property complaints should follow our Copyright and Trade Mark Notice.
